Strength Through Service. On and Off the Trails
There are moments in every trail project where the vision becomes real, when the community rallies behind the project and the finish line finally comes into view. Today is one of those moments.
Thanks to an incredible $75,000 donation from Atlas Butler, our Alum Creek Flow Trail Project is now fully funded, and we couldn’t be more stoked!
This isn’t just a milestone for our organization. It’s a win for every rider, every hiker, every first-timer finding their confidence on trail, and every community member who believes in the power of outdoor spaces.
A Legacy of Service That Built More Than a Business
For over a century, Atlas Butler has been rooted in Central Ohio, not just as a trusted provider of heating, cooling, and plumbing solutions, but as a company built on people, purpose, and service.
Their story stretches back to the 1800s with The Ramey Manufacturing Company, evolving through generations of leadership, from McGee Swepston to today’s fourth-generation president, Michael Swepston. Along the way, they’ve weathered economic shifts, embraced innovation, and remained committed to one simple idea: solve problems for people with efficiency, proficiency, and honesty.
The name “Atlas” itself was chosen to represent “Strength Through Service.” And that’s exactly what they’ve delivered, whether installing furnaces in growing post-war neighborhoods, leading industry innovation, or investing in workforce development programs that continue to shape careers in the trades today.
They’ve earned awards. They’ve built a reputation. But more importantly, they’ve built trust.
At COMBO, we see firsthand how trails impact a community. They bring people together. They create healthier lifestyles. They offer space to reset, explore, and grow. Atlas Butler understands that impact. Their support of the Alum Creek Flow Trail Project shows a deep commitment to Central Ohio, not just inside homes, but outside of them too. By donating to this project, they’ve helped ensure that this trail system will be more sustainable, more accessible, and more fun for years to come.
This is what community investment looks like:
Supporting spaces where people connect
Creating opportunities for outdoor recreation
Leaving a legacy that future riders will experience with every turn of the trail
With the Alum Creek Flow Trail Project now fully funded, we’re ready to bring this vision to life, transforming miles of trail into a more sustainable, dynamic, and enjoyable experience for all users. This momentum is powered by partners like Atlas Butler who believe in what trails do for people.
To the entire team at Atlas Butler, thank you for your generosity, your trust, and your continued commitment to the Central Ohio community.
Because of you, we’re not just building trails. We’re building something that lasts.
With much gratitude,
The COMBO Team
