Meet the instructors:
Jen Malik (aka “Baby Bear”) is a fairly new mountain biker having just picked up riding/ racing 5 years ago. However, that has not stopped her from diving headfirst into the world of mountain biking through trail advocacy and racing as a professional cross country mountain biker. She has travelled all over the world to race/ride bikes and loves pushing her limits (which has definitely resulted in some tree hugs/ rock kisses/ dirt naps). Jen gets most excited when she can share the awesome-ness of mountain biking with newer riders and won’t hesitate to help them out in any way she can! She is the secretary of COMBO, co-founder of the KS Kenda Women’s MTB Team, and leading the charge to bring NICA (National Interscholastic Cycling Association) to Ohio as the Ohio Mountain Bike League Director.

Heidi Coulter (aka “Momma Bear”) is a mother of three and grandmother that fell in love with mountain biking over 17 years ago. She has been playing in the woods and racing ever since. She learned the hard way by hitting countless trees and falling off almost every bridge at a local trail. She is no stranger to the podium and has no shame when she comes in last! Heidi races locally and all over the country doing multiple day stage races and 100mile races. Last year she was 5th in the nation in the National Ultra Endurance MTB Series. She loves sharing her excitement of mountain biking with anyone that is willing to listen. She has a wealth of knowledge of what and what not to do in mountain biking and racing. She is the President of COMBO, Lead Instructor for Dirt School and is an BICP Level 2 Skills Instructor.
