OMBA Annual Meeting
Insurance Review-BA
- We have 2M insurance policy, this is up a million
- It's based on trail mileage 275 miles, not Members
- Currently have about 500 Members statewide-Static
- OMBA Membership Expense will remain at $10 to maintain the buffer in Account
OMBA Website-BA
- Current Website is inadequate, Security Verison/Patches need maintain, constant hacking
- Vote Approved to expend $1,000 for new Website along with$500 for annual security updates would prefer a year commitment and only pay in 1/3rds to ensure fulfillment of task
OMBA Financials-Mike Ryba
- Fiscal year is June 30th-July 1st, not calendar year
- $700 Balance-Current, 40K across state
- Look to use tax exempt forms when purchasing for major purposes
- Chapter Presidents should implement new Audit Procedure
- oGet Monthly Membership report from Membership coordinator showing expected membership revenue (after OMBA takes $10)
- oCompares this to monthly revenue report from Treasurer and report to the meeting
OMBA Leadship-BA
- BA will maintain as President (he really didn’t have much of a choice-He’s our Dude!)
- Mike will stay on as Financial Officer
- OMBA needs a backup Financial Officer per bylaws to back up Mike
News from the Local Chapters
CAMBA
- New Leadership in place for the new challenge of trail ahead in their area
- Royal View Reservation they are working on 10 Miles of Trail to be built with and by the Metro Parks of Cleveland-Huge Breakthrough!
AOA
- Working with the Zoo on improving access to the Wilds
- Making beginner course and rented equipment to improve the overgrown areas
- Mayhem will be in a different format this year, more enduro style, ride from spot to spot, you can compete as a team or individual, no pressure, win is based on section times-May 19th….
- They had a Moment of Silence for AEP, everything is up in the air about this land
COMBO
- Looking at growing our membership in the Chestnut Ridge area
- Doing Donation Boxes at both Alum Trails-Heavy Duty
Mohican Area
- Won a grant that was matched by Mohican 100 fund for $5000
- Source of fund is unknown-Guess thru park?
- Bike shop has paved a trail and Mohican Wilderness did some gravel work in a wet section of Mile 2 at MSP
- State park Race is in the spring this year April 22nd
- OMBC is going to a per racer payback system for all races
Miami Area
- New trail outside Springfield right around the high school-lort trail multi use; bike and hike It has 4-5 miles Possible beginner clinic Momba is working with them Little hilly kina It's off miracle mile Right off of the rail to trails
